About this site
This website provides an AI-powered overview of Czech laws and amendments from the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, featuring automated summaries and analysis.
Who we are
Hello!
We are JsmeLidé, a community of foreigners in the Czech Republic. Our goals are to fight discrimination against foreigners in the Czech Republic and to help them integrate successfully.
Our story began in September 2024, when one of the parliamentary parties proposed a law that would almost completely block Russians from obtaining Czech citizenship. If they had not announced this initiative on their social networks, we would probably have learned about this innovation only when it had already been adopted.
Moreover, both the politicians themselves and the Czech media presented this law as "simply a requirement to renounce old citizenship in order to obtain a new one", although a deep analysis of the law by lawyers showed that in fact it is a matter of an almost complete ban on obtaining citizenship for citizens of certain countries (for more details, see our website jsmelide.cz).
That is why we decided to make a tool that allows you to track what laws are proposed and adopted in the country.
We hope that our service will be useful not only to foreigners, but also to Czech citizens, because awareness of the legislative process and participation in political life are among the important components of a democratic society and a state governed by the rule of law.

What's next?
No specific plans for now, but if we have free time and resources available, we may develop a similar tool for tracking European Union legislation. However, we're not making any promises at this stage - we'll first focus on improving the current service for Czech laws.
Technical details
We use AI models "gpt-5.4" and "gpt-5.3-chat" through Azure AI services. For translations, we utilize Azure AI Translator.
Data sources: All law information and statuses are gathered from publicly available sources - the official websites of the Czech Parliament (PSP) and the e-sbirka legal collection. We respect the administrators of these systems and take great care to minimize server load by employing gentle data retrieval practices and scheduling updates during off-peak hours.
Hosting and Azure AI and Azure Translator services are paid for from the personal funds of administrators and community members. For now, the costs are relatively small, but if they increase, we may open a donation collection to support the service.
